1. The optimal temperature is 20-25°C (68-77°F)
Temperature is very important for plant growth, and the ideal range is 20-25°C (68-77°F).
If the temperature drops below 20°C (68°F), growth can become very slow and, in the worst case, stop altogether - plants don't like being cold 😊
For the extra enthusiastic grower: Higher humidity also creates better growing conditions. During winter, indoor air is often drier, and using a humidifier can further improve plant growth.
2. Harvest regularly for the best growth
Herbs and lettuce are typically ready for harvest within 4-7 weeks, depending on the temperature. Most herbs should be pruned from the top down.
For the best results, cut just above the nodes where new leaves emerge.
A good rule of thumb: Wait until your plants are 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) tall before harvesting. It's perfectly fine to wait longer if you prefer.
Another good rule of thumb: Harvest a maximum of one-third (⅓) of the plant or stem at a time. As long as you don't cut the entire plant, it will usually regrow well.

3. You can add water and nutrients at any time
It's perfectly fine to top up the reservoir even when it isn't empty (for example, if you're going away for a few days). Simply adjust the nutrient amount proportionally.
For herbs and lettuce (and for the first 5 weeks of fruiting plants):
1 litre (0.26 gallons) of water = 2 pumps of Grow and 2 pumps of Flavour.
For fruiting plants after 5 weeks:
1 litre (0.26 gallons) of water = 2 pumps of Bloom Booster, in addition to 2 pumps of Grow and 2 pumps of Flavour.
4. Make sure all plants receive enough light
Some plants grow faster than others and may end up shading slower-growing plants. Plants need plenty of light to thrive, so for even growth, make sure none of your plants are being shaded.
If larger plants are blocking light from smaller ones, it's a good idea to trim them back.
5. Keep the plant light approximately 15 cm (6 Inches) above the plants
As your plants grow, move the plant light upward accordingly.
Plants naturally stretch toward the light. If the light is too far away, they may become tall and leggy. On the other hand, if the plants are too close to the light, they can become scorched.
The distance doesn't need to be exactly 15 cm (6 inches) - just aim to keep it roughly around that height.
