Here's how to restart your Auk:

  1. Remove the light and dowels, and unplug the power cable

  2. Harvest any remaining plants and empty the pots of coco fiber

  3. Remove the wooden sleeve

If you're planning to wash the plastic parts in the dishwasher, you'll need to remove:

    • The wooden sleeve

    • The water indicator

    • The cover plate in front of the water gauge

  4. Wash the baseplate and pots with dish soap - or in a Dishwasher at 40-50°C (remember to remove the wooden sleeve first!)

  5. Reassemble your Auk

  6. Fill the pots with fresh coco fiber and sow new seeds

We recommend using fresh coco fiber for the best possible germination results 🌱

You can plant in used coco fiber, but it often contains leftover nutrients, roots, and an imbalanced pH level that can affect germination and growth.

You can purchase fresh coco fiber here.

Check the back of each seed packet for planting instructions. You can also find growing information on the product page for each seed variety.

  7. Add nutrients and water

Add 6 pumps from each nutrient bottle (Grow and Flavour). Fill the reservoir with water until the water level indicator shows MAX.

  8. Lower the light to approximately 15 cm (6 in) above the pots

If you're only replacing some of the plants, we recommend trimming the larger ones so the light does not need to be positioned too high above the newly sown pots.

If the light is too far away, seedlings may become tall and leggy as they stretch towards the light.
